This post specifically targeted at previously non-blog users, who are now reading this blog, especially mothers, aunts and sisters. This post is going to be at the top of the page for a few weeks, so just scroll down a bit for the new posts. Cheers!
One of the funnest things about a blog is interaction. Primarily I chose this method of communication as it’s an easy way of of sharing information with a lot of people, oh and I get to use fun colours AND add photos into posts where relevant AND keep a whole bunch of information in the one place.
But, the part that makes it even better is conversation, the people that you know are reading it actually telling you what the post made them think about, asking questions to extend the conversation. Think of the post as the starting point and then go from there.
So, my request. There’s a link at the end of every post which says “Leave a Comment”. Click on that link, write whatever comes to mind, give yourself a name (mum, your aunt, and sis are all perfectly acceptable here), list your email address (since it’s required, maybe I can turn that setting off, I’ll check that out) I promise I’m the only one that gets this email, it’s not a spam generator. You can probably even put in a dummy one, as long as it has an @ symbol and a .com at the end it should work. e.g. firstname.lastname@example.org would work.
I specifically moved this blog over here so that commenting was easier. Oh, and the design was nicer, as is the backend, but you probably don’t care about that so much 🙂
The upside of this is that I am much, much more likely to respond to a direct response to a blog post (and if you put a real email address in you’ll know if I do), as it’s part of a conversation, and it’s kinda shiny, so we get to communicate more. Which would be fantastic 🙂
I know that you’re writing me emails, and I am reading them, just I’ve got some sort of block on responding. I’m slowly working out what it is, but to be honest I’m just not that good at that sort of correspondence. I did warn you…
